After studying Social Sciences at Utrecht University, I worked within various social organizations. Through illness, I was introduced to the other end of the spectrum of research: initially as a participant in studies, later as a patient research partner, in the role of advisor or partner. Since 202 I have been working at the Sint Maartenskliniek as a Patient Engagement coordinator. Here I can use both my professional and experiential knowledge. My task and ambition is to stimulate and support researchers and patient representatives in their collaboration, throughout the different stages of research and within as many studies as possible within our department.
