LIFTYA personalized shoulder assisting device
In this study, we will evaluate the usability and effectiveness of a newly developed shoulder assisting device.
Shoulder pain and instability are common complaints in people with neurological, neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions. Simple movements can already cause complaints. Shoulder braces could help to reduce complaints, but also often limit motion or consist of expensive and bulky robotics.
The goal of LIFTYA is to develop a shoulder brace with an active support system during movement, which should limit pain. Several prototypes have been created that make use of elastic bands and motorized assistance.
In this study, we will evaluate the usability and effectiveness of the first generations of the LIFTYA shoulder brace in people with shoulder complaints.
